From no babies to three babies: We’re all pregnant at the same time!
My name is Mia. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the last three years. We’ve had two miscarriages and recently found out that we are pregnant. We were so relieved to reach the 12 week mark, and to be able to announce to our families at Christmas that we are pregnant (again). Imagine my surprise when both of my sisters also announced that they’re pregnant too! My older sister Tamar has PCOS and has been having difficulty getting pregnant since she started trying two years ago. My youngest sister Aliya got married last year and started trying to have a baby right away, having witnessed how difficult it has been for Tamar and me to have a child.
It’s hard to believe that after all our struggles and worry, we’re ALL going to be having babies around the same time. My parents are thrilled – they’ve been itching for years to become grandparents, and have been stockpiling the baby gear so they’d be ready when one of us finally had a baby. Now they’re going to have three grandbabies. For them, this is like winning the grandparent lottery! These babies are going to be so loved because they have been wanted for SO long. My sisters and I will be able to share our maternity leaves and parenting tips. I couldn’t be happier. I still carry in my heart the memory of the babies that I lost, but now, I feel so blessed and excited to be sharing my road to motherhood with my two sisters.
